Twilight

|
Well, I've heard a lot about this movie, or rather, this novel. Sad to say that I haven't been exposed to its original story but even so, from many reviews that I've read, I think the movie is a blast. Not much of a disappointment, I guess.

Anyway, I personally think that the movie is interesting in its own ways, from its cinematography to its casts. The special effects are a little corny but acceptable, at least, I get the point!

At times, Sonali, Ibrahim, Jeffrey and I got a little bored through the 2-hour movie, really...

Maybe, I should read the book instead!

Future

|
What could you possibly predict what's gonna happen in the next minute? I'm so frustrated and exhausted thinking of my future, or should I say, MPL Pilots' future. Things are so unpredictable and even when there is just a signature left in the contract to be signed, there is no guarantee that the contract will take effect.

What am I gonna do if all things fail? It seems that most of the foreigners here have their secret backups except me... Sometimes it really hurts to see how carefree they could be, especially those from the upper batches and I hate it. Seriously.

PILOT.

Can I be one in the future?
Sometimes I doubt it;
sometimes I don't.
Sometimes it's obvious;
sometimes, it seems impossible.

Also, it is highly possible that I couldn't graduate on time, nobody else could, or at least it seems. Sigh, I don't want to think too much about the problems occurring day after another but I can't help it especially almost none of them were solved quickly. It's undeniably irritating at all times!

Seriously, if this is a dead end, I'll be dead in no time. We keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best possible thing to happen.

Starbucks Planner

|
For the month of November, I felt like a kid and you know why? No you don't. I was collecting STICKERS! Hahaha! Starbucks Coffee stickers!

You know, business tricks, buy 16 cups of coffee and get each a sticker and poof, there you go - a planner.

Well, I was quite happy with it 'cause its papers quality is extremely good and you know how Starbucks goes, greener day by day, all recycled!

Hmm, birthday is coming soon but no plans of any celebration yet... Come on guys, gimme a huge surprise for my last teen year! Sigh... I guess that's all for today, just a little update.

P/S : See you guys in Malaysia really soon! And, dear NS Gang, I'm so curious about the surprise that you guys planned to give!

Brothers and Sister

|
Attached is a video of Sonali pole-dancing with a pillar, or more like a staircase handle. Last night, we had a barbeque party organized from Batch 6 to celebrate the our achievement on First Solo Flights. All of us are done with that, it was worth celebrating.
Later that night, Sonali and I planned to go for some drinks, either at a nice bar or a lounge but Ibrahim made a last-minute decision to tag along. We headed straight to Starbucks and had Toffee Nut Lattes and slices Oreo Cheese Cakes and then both of them were arguing on where to go.

Sonali wanted to go to club or a disco rather than bar or lounge and Ibrahim didn't agree and we ended up at Camelot. Remember Camelot, the Girly Bar? I celebrated my birthday there last November and did I mention that yesterday was Laith's birthday? We, sad to say but if he were to be there, wouldn't enjoy that much.

We first had Beers, then shots of Tequila. Followed by the Cocktails, Screwdriver consisting Vodka and Orange, Tequila shots again and then the flaming Bacardi 151 with Bailey's Irish Cream. We ended our night with a glassful of Red Wine each.

Now, here comes the funny part! We pretended like real brothers and sister! Can you believe that! The story was, our dad is a pilot, he went around the world and fucked women from Malaysia, Oman and India and, POOF! There we were! The Pimp Lady was so dumb to believe and we continued our short story. Sonali was the only one wasted and she puked so many times! Pity me... Don't ask...

Anyway, it was nevertheless a great night and we officially became brothers and sister!

I love you, Akhooi and Didi!

Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!

Very unfortunately, Monica (Omni Student) skidded her aircraft, RP-C8835 during a solo landing slightly to the right of the centreline and as the right main wheel moved along the grass, drag was created mostly on the right side of the aircraft. Thus, the aircraft moved to the right and rolled straight uncontrollably until the nose wheel braked and nosed down.

Fortunately, she survived without a scratch, physically, but they said she was crying in the Office with the doors locked. I guess it must be quite a big shock to her!

I guess as long as nobody gets hurt, it's a blessed day.

The Fuel Shower

|
Well, I've done my first ever Solo on the 16th of November. I hope it is not clashing with one of your birthdays, 'cause it's my memorable date now, not yours!

Haha, anyway, RP-C8837 was just okay. I used to be very familiar with that particular aircraft but as I explore the others, I deviate my love to them too... However, the most important thing is that I've done my part. Thanks Captain Louie! So, why wasn't I dressed up properly? They performed the Mixture Ceremony! There were two buckets of liquid, one with all the dirty stuff and the other with clean water. The first one was filled with Aviation Fuel! AvGas! Argh, it burnt my whole body, badly! Oh, did I mention everyone spitted in it? Fuck, that was gross!

Many were there, the foreigners, Batch 6 and friends from the outside world. I felt so sorry that I've completely forgotten to text Batch 6 and that they had to find it out from the others... Consequence of it, no landing videos... They said my third landing was flawless! I do think that it was by far my best landing. I'm flattered! I tell you, history will repeat itself!

Above picture, from left, Captain Louie, RP-C8837 and Moi.
Bottom, I present you,
MALAYSIAN, OMANI, INDIAN, Bahraini, Half Bahraini-Malaysian, Singaporean, Jordanian/Kuwaiti, German Filipino and Pure Filipinos.

I LOVE TODAY!

Madagascar : Escape 2 Africa

|
Just watched Madagascar : Escape 2 Africa with Ibrahim, Sonali and Jeffrey. Well, I have to say, the movie is expectedly good, as in nicely animated and no lame jokes.

We laughed all the way from the beginning to the end of the movie and were still laughing! Luckily, it's not disappointing and we didn't regret watching it.

You guys should give it a try and let me tell you, it's not childish. No dumb people would make a million-dollar movie just to earn kids' money. Think.

Make It Happen

|
I've watched Make it Happen today and I think it's pretty good, well at least, it's not boring. Dream of a small-town girl and self discovery are some of the main messages delivered from the movie.
Although not a very inspirational movie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead proves she's a very versatile actress. I personally never knew she could dance until I watched this movie! Now, it's your turn. Make it happen!

Tourism and Terrorism

|
Joke of the day.

Ibrahim, the Omani told me that one of his friends, let's call him X, was planning to go to the States (or other country, I can't remember) for leisure purposes. Since it was his first flight to the States, he was very excited at the same time, very nervous. X's brother told him that when filling up the white card or being asked for the reason of entering the country, write or say "tourism."

The reason for all these hassle is mainly because of the 911 case and since he's an Arab, he has to be worried. Some of his friends were stopped from entering the country of visit and some, being sent home.

So, days before his flight, he kept reminding himself of what his brother told him.

"Tourism... tourism... toorism... torrism... terrism... terrosm..." and on the day of his flight, he was not surprised being asked by the immigration officers of his intentions. But... because of all the reminders and memorizations, he nervously said "Terrorism."

Voila, there you go. He was detained for many, many hours then. Maybe 24 hours, maybe 36 or even 48.

As soon as he was released, he fucked that trip and left for Malaysia. Hehee, just for laughs!

Quantum of Solace

|
Phew, finally... finally the crappy internet connection is back...

Anyway, I get to watch the Quantum of Solace with Sonali and Ibrahim on the day it was released here in the Philippines.

It is pretty obvious many people in the world agreed that it is one of the must-watch movie of the year, and since the trailer was made very attractively, its success in luring the movie-goers is undeniable.

No matter how many bad critics I've heard before watching the movie, I will not stop myself from watching it. It is the movie everyone talks about and the only way for me to find the truth behind the critics is to watch it myself.

I think I would rate this movie 007/010. Beginning and the ending of the movie are great, really. But the middle part was a little into the sleepy-mode. Maybe it's just the three of us, maybe it's the whole cinema, maybe half the globe, I don't know.

I can't say it is a bad movie but given a chance, I wouldn't watch it. Still, it is however, a Bond movie. Go ahead, give it a try. Who know you might like it!

House Bunny

|
Finally had the time to go and watch the House Bunny. Not bad actually. Considering it's a comedy, Anna Faris did a pretty good job as a cliché, typical dumb blonde. Way to go, Anna!

"Eyes make up is important. They are like nipples on the face."

Tropic Thunder

|
"TROPIC BLUNDER"

Not exactly a must-watch. I know, I know, with Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise, how could this movie be a "not exactly a must-watch" right?

Right. Trailer is good. Movie is okay. Plot is just so-so.

This comedy is not even funny! Trust me... Anyway, you could just go and give it a try, and prove me wrong. I don't mind actually. Go, go ahead.

By the way, what was in Stiller's mind? Trying to at least get nominated for Oscar with this movie?
