One Year Anniversaries!

Yesterday (29th of July) was the one year anniversary for the existence of my blog.

Exactly one week from now, on the 6th of August will be my one year half-completed course, Sonali's BIRTHDAY and not to forget, our one year of fuckin' good friendship!

Two days from now will be the official commencement date of Plan A. Few hours ago, there was a major progress in this plan. This is gonna be friggin sexy! Have patience!

Why, why me...

For most of you who have at least seen me once, maybe in the last 3 years, you would have probably noticed that obviously I have pimples and acne on my face. Clearly, I do not have the clear skin that most of you have...

For the past month, after years of treating it, it has finally receded to a state that I felt quite comfortable with. But, things don't always go (especially) the way I want them to be.

I've been doing a lot of researches for as long as I can remember and have at least gave every possible solution a try until lately, for the past two weeks, my skin has gone really bad. I've begun to feel intimidated (somehow) by the look people around me give and embarrassed even by just talking, looking straight at them in the face.

I've taken more than adequate amount of water with all-natural face wash, calming toner and cream for the face, not to mention that I've been practicing regular sleeps almost everyday. I don't touch it often and always wipe it only with clean cloths.

The only thing that I can never control would probably be the conditions during my flight. Flying up few thousands feet and being exposed to high radiation, the sunscreen doesn't help much.

I really hate the tight spaces in the cockpit and the heat that the sun produces. Getting down after flight with the uncomfortable combination of feelings really are getting into my nerves. I can't fucking control them!

Sigh, I know how my close friends say that they are friends with me not because of my face, but having the hatred of not wanting to look at the mirror really makes me very, very self conscious.

Most of you have clear, if not completely good skin. Okay fine, here it is, I'm fucking envious and can only hope that mine will get better, day by day. That's it, for the meantime.

P/S : This is the only reason pulling me back from Plan A. Don't guess, Plan A is not the plan for my bad face.

The Dark Knight

I would say this (almost) 3-hour movie is great!

First in mind, "Three hours? Is it gonna be boring in some scenes?"

"Well, it's Batman : The Dark Knight! How boring can it be, right?"

And yes, it is a really good movie! Definitely a must-watch! 

Story of the day : This morning, Sonali had her flight at 0900 hour and she came back sobbing... She couldn't stand the yelling and the anger (that her instructor brought down from his previous flight) on her. Later in the evening, there was a (very) good news. She received a text saying, "Sonali, now you are transferred to Captain Angeles (a better instructor, or so the pilot cadets claimed) and you are no longer with Captain Cervania."

I'm happy for her. She deserves somebody who can really teach her with the right method and that the one she can learn from. Feeling really good for her.

P/S : Sonali, you can do it! So what if you have to fly the same air-exercise for the second time? Remember, nobody's perfect! Best of luck from me :)

ARRANGED-MARRIAGE!

Yes, she will be a part of it! 

Now, here comes the funny part!

Few days ago, her mother called her and talked about it. Her mother opened Sonali's Orkut (something like Friendster/Facebook) profile and viewed her friends. She was asking Sonali one friend at a time about his background, and whether or not is he a Rajput too

 So far, she has only one Rajput male friend and coincidently, her mum asked about that guy, Akhand. Sonali said they are just best friends and can never be married to each other. She also said that it would be funny if both of them were to marry each other. Her mum then replied, "Have you watch that new-released Hindi movie, 'Jane Tu Ya Jane Na'? The best friends will become couple and eventually get married! Both of you will be the same too!" Laughter bursted of out Sonali!

So, her mum moved on to another guy, Rahul (her current distance-relationship's love) and asked Sonali, "So, what about this guy Rahul? Is he a Rajput?"

She immediately said "Next!" when Sonali answered her question with Rahul's last name (from the last names, you can tell if a person is a Rajput or not). Sonali continued that awkward and OH-MY-GOD-ly conversation that night with laughs and some screamings. In India, is it said that it's bad for a girl who doesn't get married by the age of 25 years old.

Sonali said, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! I have just five more years left! Oh my G-O-D!"

What a laugh for me! She was telling me the story and I was laughing, hand on my stomach to stand the pain. HAHAHA!

P/S : For Akhand's (first subject) case, his mum asked the same thing about Sonali. They shared this information and both laughed out loud!

Wall-E and Hellboy 2

Watched Wall-E and Hellboy 2. Both have good graphics.

Wall-E is a little cliched as the ending was predicted.

Hellboy 2, I really don't know what to say. A little too much of exaggerations but actions wise, it is slightly better than the prequel.

豚カツ (とんかつ or Tonkatsu)

Had Japanese dish for dinner just now with Jeffry and Cheston. A pretty well-done Tonkatsu, I can say!

Charu and Ashwani both sat next to our table, greeted them. My cousin and Mohamed came and took the table at my 8 o'clock. Greeted them warmly too.

Typhoon today, no flight for my cousin and no need for that lazy Sonali to get outta bed early for standby.

The Kite Runner and the Good Food

Shit, I was so stupid thinking that the movie has not been released yet but I found out that it was released last year, when I was having my Christmas break in Malaysia.

The movie was dropped a few days after I arrived back at Clark. I'm feeling so embarrassed about the previous post saying that "I'm waiting for the movie..."

Anyway, watched it from a DVD already and it was great! Almost a perfect reflection from the novel.

Top to bottom : Beef Mamee, Bak Kut Teh

By the way, just quite recently, Cheston (Singaporean) and I have been able to enjoy (one of) our foreigner's rights! We get special food (just like the Indians and the Arabs)! Two days before, we had Beff Mamee and today, holy crap (!), BAK KUT TEH! Smell and tastes were close to perfection! That was my first time to have good food in the cafeteria here!

We went and pay our gratitude to the chef and he was asking, "Haha, thanks for the compliment. By the way, do you guys eat Japanese food?" Both of us, "OF COURSE!"

Haha, hell yeah! Thank god he has worked at TOKYO TOKYO before and I can only hope that tomorrow's surprise dinner would be good! Now, we're actually looking forward to have our meals at the cafeteria, which is a total opposite feelings just a week ago. Food, food, food!

Time to sleep, flying tomorrow.

P/S : He didn't actually prepare the ingredients for the Bak Kut Teh, Cheston got the instant 40-minute-process-of-cooking pack from Singapore, which was made and manufactured from Klang, Malaysia!

First-Year Exam, PASSED!

I was craving for Tostitos and at the same time, for something else too. Can't resist myself, I went ahead, opened a huge pack of Tostitos, eating it with Salsa dips. Hmm, very satisfying!

Anyway, when I was talking to XX, we wasted half the time saying, "HELLO, can you HEAR me?" and typing it at the same time. After that, all I did was just laughing, and laughing.

She was screaming, shouting and yelling out of excitement! She passed her Exam!

Good job! I'm really happy for her.

Telling me how nervous she was, she didn't even dare to look at the screen for her name and asked her daddy to search for it instead.

A Thousand Splendid Suns

This is the follow-up to The Kite Runner, also by Khaled Hosseini. It might not be the latest book, but, who cares! I don't know what's happening with me right now, I keep buying books after books! I've never fond of reading and now, I can't stop doing it! It's so addictive and these two books by Khaled are what I call, a-must-read!

Also, many for-adult novels from Neil Gaiman are so amazing! I guess it's never too late to start reading! Anyone to recommend anymore great authors? I know there's a bunch of people who really love books out there! Don't be shy :)

ZiWei's Birthday

So, supposedly her birthday falls on the 10th of July but I was kind of BLUR and send her a text just now and wished her a happy birthday. I was trying to call her but it didn't get connected.

Then, a MSN Messenger's conversation popped. It was ZiWei. She thanked me and I chatted with her for a little while. We talked about many little things and she suggested maybe in the future, we could buy a big cake and put all our names together! The Nottinghamian-gang, which includes the BioSciences and AEZ and of course, ME! Hopefully, one day!

At the same time, I was chatting with ZhengYew. To my surprise, he said he misses me! Hahahaha! Can't believe that. Yeah, yeah, I know I talked to the deafening state! Anyway, we then talked about ZiWei's upcoming birthday and he said "It's on the 10th laa" which sorta shocked me a little. I felt so embarrassed to have wished her this early.

I confronted ZiWei to make sure when is the right date. Obviously she said 10th. Holy shit... Sorry ZiWei! Well, that's it for today.

P/S : At one point, ZiWei was confused and picked up her cell to check the date, thinking it was 9th! Hahaha!

The Kite Runner

I've missed the movie... I'll get the DVD patiencely!

"Call me asshole, ONE MORE TIME..."

Just watched Hancock and personally, I do not think this would be very good movie for me. Camera effects are okay, adequate enough to be realistic but otherwise, sickening at times! I think that the plot is actually interesting, but is not well-elaborated. Scenes creating suspenses are too long for the climax, leaving moviegoers feel that they are lacking understandings of the nature of their origins.
Some scenes are actually too boring to allow you to even sit comfortably in the theater! Computer effects wise, just okay. Overall, it may not be a must-watch, but should worth it if you are a Will Smith's super-fan. Also, it may worth some good laughs!

"What the fuck have you done lately?"

Watched "Wanted" and I can say it was a pretty good movie, though Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy are not a very pleasant-looking couple. Well, they didn't get to be together but there's chemistry potrayed.

Also, before this scene when the camera rolls up, you can see her butt! Nice and perky! Uncensored! In this movie, there are many vulgar and obscene words used. Make the movie more realistic, I can say! I mean, you don't expect those people to not swear at all right?
