Year One

|
I don't really recommend it. The trailer seemed good but we should be warned of spoilers!

It was a little boring, if not completely bullshit. Jokes were corny. There were too many of stupid sex jokes, not that I was complaining but sometimes too much is really too much! Anyway, it wouldn't be a waste if you skip this one!

District 9

|

Finally watched it. I recommend it. Good moral value.

UP 3D

|
Two days ago, all of us (Sonali, Charu, Jeffrey, Cheston, Big Mo', Small Mo', Yousif and I) went for the last movie of the month. We're on some kinda celibacy on not to spend any more unnecessary cash.

Back to the movie. It was great actually... First 3D experience in the Philippines and second time in a digital cinema. So, here are some pictures. Sonali and Jeffrey were blocked... You get the point.

Orphan

|
Watched "Orphan" few days ago and I thought it was great! It has to be the smartest horror-and-thriller movie I've ever watched this year!

A must watch!

Hangover

|
Watched it few weeks ago, really enjoyable! A must watch!

I can't believe a movie of four guys' story could be this entertaining!

P/S : Baby jack-off was extremely funny!

G.I. JOE

|
"Good luck, JOES!"

Okay, watched this movie days ago and really liked it. Though, the graphics could be more realistic at some scenes!

The Proposal

|
I really enjoyed this movie a lot! Its trailer made its points and all of us had some good laughs, not cheesy!

Unfortunately for Malaysian, some of the scenes will be censored. E.g., Sandra will be looking for a towel and will be assuming that nobody is in the room, while Ryan in the balcony will be on his iPod listening to loud music and he will be removing his boxer and they will be bumping into each other and will be falling on the floor with scenes of completely naked Sandra covered in a tiny cloth on her loins and visible Ryan's butt.

The Proposal will be released in Malaysia on the 30th of July.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

|
Neither did I love it nor hate it.

Too much of relevant information was left out from the book. I seriously do not mind sitting in the theater for a little more while to catch any interesting scenes.

Stick to the book guys.

Land of the Lost

|
My cousin Mohamed, Sonali, Cheston and I were expecting more from this movie. Some jokes were too cheesy and failed miserably to lighten the movie up. At times, we felt that this movie was like a parody-genre.

Characters wise, nothing's too exciting. They were so boring!

Disappointing. Even if you skip this movie, you won't miss a thing.

Ice Age 3 : Dawn of the Dinosaurs

|
Last week, the Singaporean, Indians (best friends), Arabs (cousin) and I got a good chance to hang out (at last!) together. We departed after lunch and went for ice-skating.

We had our dinner at a Chinese restaurant, named Chef Choi (中蔡) and the food there was awfully delicious!

Anyway, back to the post. We went for Ice Age 3 and was expecting the 3D movie but we knew something was wrong when they did not distribute the 3D red-and-blue-film goggles at the entrance of the theater. Never mind that.

The movie wasn't as good as I was expecting. All the good parts were shown in its trailers already. Some jokes were too cheesy but nonetheless, the audiences loved it. I still prefer the first two's.

P/S : Peaches is so adorable!

Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen

|
Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen has been one of the most waited movies this year. I'm fortunate enough to enjoyed the movie today.

I will not included any spoilers but I can tell that, please be warned that it might not be as good as how it is portrayed in trailers. Just for your information.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the amazing graphics and sound effects!

P/S : Post will be updated tomorrow. Gotta catch some good night sleep for an early morning flight tomorrow. Nights.

The Taking of Pelham 123

|
The Taking of Pelham 123 starring Denzel Washington and John Trovolta is probably the most memorable crime thriller I've watched this year. The movie, adapted from a thriller novel by, if not mistakenly John Godey with the same tittle (not from the previous 1924 movie) is wild and entertaining.

The both leading actors did best in their acting and I thought the movie was really good.

Definitely my favourite thriller of the year!

Forever Strong

|
I loved the movie, simply because it's based on true events.

It is about two hours long and I enjoyed every minute of it. The movie progresses slowly with role-building of every important protagonist and antagonist characters.

There will be no synopsis but, if you like "Never Back Down" or "Freedom Writers" or any other based-on-real-stories sort of movies, this is yours to call.

Drag Me to Hell

|
A "new classic" horror movie, they say. I agree! This movie is bringing what most of the so-called horrors nowadays have not!

It is almost a guarantee to pump your adrenaline in milliseconds and make you jump around your seat! Well, unless you are one of those people who has the lack of sensitivity!

Some complain about the CGI and in a few scene, I too agree. But, at least they do not look like they're trying-hard, well suited.

For horror movies fans, this is a must watch! Enjoy!

P/S : This movie will be released in Malaysia and most of the Southeast Asia region on the 11th of June.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

|
A great combination of Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner! I didn't fancy much of this slight-fictional movie but I was impressed by the message sent from it.

By the way, it will be released in Malaysia on the 30th of July.

I enjoyed the acting as well.

Terminator Salvation

|
Last 27th of May, I went out with four other colleagues to watch Terminator Salvation. I thought it was okay, but I prefer the third sequel than this.

Compared to the movie, the cinema itself was far worse! I couldn't concentrate on the movie with all the loud whisperings and cells ringings! Why can't people just be decent enough to follow what's instructed?

It's a movie theater however!

Twilight Saga?

|

Weeks ago, I was looking for some important books in a bookstore but unfortunately, I couldn't find any. After that, I passed by this corner of new-arrivals and they were promoting "New Moon" by Stephanie Meyer. Not just that, there were packages made for her complete Twilight Saga consisting Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Like usual, even though I not such a super fan of novels, I bought them... Picture above shows the four books. Sigh... I did the same years ago when the Da Vinci Code came out as movie. I bought Dan Brown's package of four novels, included Angels and Demons. Hehehe, I knew the movie was gonna come!

Night at the Museum : Battle of the Smithsonian

|
Good! No, great! Enjoyed it.

17 Again

|
Not Efron's fan and kinda disappointed with Matthew Perry!

That's all.

Angels and Demons

|
Days ago, all but two foreigners went for an outing together and has decided to watch "Angels and Demons." Okay, I'm not sure what to say. For the movie itself, it's pretty good, but expect some changes if you're comparing it to the book. Overall, I liked the movie. I didn't know why. Go see it for yourself and decide.
