I watched this movie some time ago and I thought it was a very good movie. So good that I wouldn't mind watching it again. I can't describe how I feel while watching it because the movie gave me some sort of mixed feelings, all at a time.
This is a very amazing movie, and definitely one of my favourites. I love the way the movie was filmed and I gotta say, it's not an easy thing for a director to pick one of the dirtiest areas in the country as background plotting in the movie. The ambience of different time plot feel right. They are very properly filmed. At times during the movie, I've had goose-bums all over, just to show how touched I was while enjoying some parts of it. I also enjoyed the cinematography and its characters' development. Bravo to the British Indian actor, Dev Patel and Indian actress, Freida Pinto. In fact, I do think the kids who portray them when they were young should receive some credits here.
I'm not gonna be a spoiler here and for those of you who haven't got the chance to watch it yet, give it your best shot. I believe, most of you will love it.

Cessna 172S
From Robin, to Cessna 152II, to Cessna 172S. Finally, I had my first flight with Cessna 172S on the 7th of February and trust me, many things happened.
Unexpectedly.
First, I fought for my rights with a nice and respectable instructor. Then, the instructor who I should be flying with overheard and kinda disagreed with me.
Then, unimaginably, my flight was awesome. I loved the feel of the aircraft and best of all, the instructor was really professional.
Lastly, when I was performing my first landing on the heavy aircraft, the aircraft ballooned a little but it wasn't a hard landing. I've done worse and this time, it was nothing. However, the nose wheel strut compressed to the maximum. Both me and my instructor didn't know what exactly happened but I guess from the spillage of fluid, I assumed it's the hydraulic oil and something must have been wrong to cause the leakage.
Anyway, it's not my fault, thus none of my business. The insurance company will have it covered. That's it for today. Will try to squeeze my brain for more updates in the future. Ciao.
Bride Wars
Bride Wars, was unsurprisingly a good movie for me. Few days back, I was rotting so badly in my room. There was nothing better to do so I decided to ask Jeffrey, Charu, Ashwani and Krishna out for a movie. After the movie, we had our dinner at Pizza Hut and then a relaxing coffee session at Starbucks afterwards. We talked about a lot of stuff, from why all of us chose Clark Aviation to our boring studies. The topic of "Quitting Possibilities" came up too...
Back to the movie.
I enjoy watching those cat-fight scenes in the movie. They are so hilarious and at the same time, heart-breaking, somehow. It's really sad to see how friends that best can fight over small things, or maybe big.
Overall, there are some (just some) boring parts in the beginning, interesting in the middle and touching in the end. I enjoyed this movie a lot and I think you guys should give it a try, go ahead, watch it!
Gecko
A few of my pilot colleagues as well as my new neighbours caught this eight-to-ten-inch nose-to-tail sized gecko and kept it as a pet on the hallway, just like how they would exhibit an exotic animal. I don't care whatever species or subspecies it is from the lizard category, it is horrifying in a way, or two, especially when you stare right into its never-blinking eyes!
While shooting this picture, I constantly convinced myself that it's not gonna move even a single muscle, otherwise, I will be moving my whole body's muscles! I wonder if ever luck would stay at my side, just so I would be able to take its picture with its tongue shooting straight right at its prayer mantis meal.
Well, I was testing with my macro lens and due to the low outside temperature and my laziness to erect the tripod, the picture is not tack sharp. Nevertheless, I will still nurture my interest in photography as an enthusiast.
Février
February.
So, today marks the first day of February 2009 and tomorrow will be my first flight of the year. Yeah, now you know how busy I am with my non-flying schedule.
Something struck my brain today... I've been thinking a lot. A lot about many things. None specific because strange enough, a same thought hasn't got the chance to stay in my head for long. Clouds of thought just popped and evaporated after every little while.
Friendships.
As time flies, and a new day arrives, friendship between me and my mates here hasn't improved much, but nevertheless not worsened by any chance. I've been thinking, I will have to graduate alone one day, not literally but practically. Sometimes, I would think that the friendship that I've been nurturing alongside the involved parties will go to waste. You see, we are very different, each individually. We come from different countries, we are of different races and we speak in different languages. But... one thing for sure that's in common - our friendship. That's the problem. We will eventually leave each other and head back to our own country, do things our own ways and talk and eat our own ways.
Nothing's gonna be the same again. Sometimes, I would have a selfish thought of not accepting my friends to be shared. Can't blame me because they are always busy attaching theirs eyes and minds into their laptops and connecting with their friends whereas I'm the only one here clinging onto them, cutting off those over the net. From now on, I will try to start getting in touch with those in Malaysia who I've neglected all along, in all these years.
Tomorrow.
It will be a big day for some of us, the foreigners. I can't reveal many details here but one thing I can say is that if this discussion brings us to our boiling point, this is the end. The end, right. You didn't see it wrong. I will soon update you guys with the minutes.
That's all for this post. It's getting draggy. Au revoir.
